About Us

Talk and Play Speech Pathology is a trusted mobile speech pathology practice servicing the Melbourne community. We offer mobile and Telehealth speech pathology services to children aged 0-12. We recognise the strengths of each child, and work collaboratively with caregivers and education staff, to help them reach and extend their learning potential. By empowering and working collaboratively with members of your child's community, we are ensuring that our service is both accessible and family-centered.

Meet Katie - she/her

Alicia graduated with a  Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University.
 

Alicia has extensive experience working with paediatric clients in the areas of speech sound production, oral language development, literacy and social communication.  
 

Alicia is very committed, motivated and passionate about supporting children, and provides a family-centered care approach to enable the best therapy outcomes for each child. She ensures that her client and family feel supported and valued.

Alicia founded Talk and Play Speech Pathology in 2022, with the goal of providing the best speech pathology service. She strives to provide a service that is evidence-based, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming.

 

In her spare time, Alicia enjoys going for walks, playing with her dog and spending time with her family.

Katie completed a Bachelor of Applied Science/Master of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University. 

 

Katie has experience and particular interest in working with paediatric clients in the areas of speech sound production, early language support, and alternative and augmentative assistive communication (AAC).

 

She is deeply committed to supporting children and providing a family-centred care approach to ensure the best therapy outcomes. 

 

In her spare time, Katie enjoys going for walks, playing video games, and having board game nights with friends.

Meet Sophie - she/her

Sophie graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) at La Trobe University.

 

Sophie is passionate about family-centred care and supporting communication in all its forms. She is enthusiastic about tailoring supports to help clients achieve their goals and celebrates their unique personalities and paths of growth.

 

Before graduating, Sophie worked as an Allied Health Assistant at Talk and Play, where she developed skills in early language support, language development, literacy and speech sound production. 

 

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys playing football, swimming at the beach and catching up with friends over frozen yoghurt.

Meet Sam - she/her

Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Sam graduated with a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

​

Sam has experience working in both public health and private practice across Australia and Canada. She is passionate about early intervention and supporting children’s communication development through a family-centred collaborative approach. Sam focuses on supporting children to feel confident as they work towards their individualised communication goals.

​

Sam has particular interests in early language development, speech sound production, pragmatic language skills, fluency including use of the Lidcombe Program, and multimodal communication including Key Word Sign (KWS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

​

Outside of work, you can find Sam practicing yoga, lifting weights, and spending time with her partner and their two cats. Sam is also vegan and enjoys discovering new vegan spots as well as trying new recipes.
